Soha Ali Khan is back on the screen with her recent ZEE5 release Kaun Banegi Shikharwat. For the same, the actress spoke to Bollywood Hungama on several topics – from her career to family and more in detail.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, while discussing her thoughts and impression of her Tum Mile co-star, Emraan Hashmi she admitted that she had a negative impression of him before working with him. She was first concerned that he would not be punctual onset or that he would not ‘be such a good actor.’ Soha said, “I actually worked more with Emraan because it was a longer role. I really enjoyed them both but I would say Emraan because I had an impression of him that I didn’t have of Madhavan before. I thought Emraan would be very different and he was really very professional, always on time, and a really warm person to work with. I don’t know why I thought he wouldn’t be.”
Soha acknowledged that she has no idea why she got such terrible impression of Emraan. “I thought he would wake up late and not really learn his lines and he wouldn’t be such a good actor. I really don’t know why; I hadn’t seen a lot of his work. But he was really understated and very good to work with,” she said.
Soha has only worked with Emraan in one film so far, Tum Mile. The film, directed by Kunal Deshmukh and starring VJ Mantra, Sachin Khedekar, and Rituraj Singh, was a love drama set against the backdrop of the 2005 Mumbai floods.
Soha Ali Khan made her digital debut with Lara Dutta, Naseeruddin Shah, Kritika Kamra, Raghubir Yadav, and Anya Singh in the ZEE5 series Kaun Banegi Shikharwati. The drama revolves around the king of Shikharwati, who deceives his estranged daughters into returning home when he is investigated for tax fraud.
